Conclusion

We show that due to the dissimilar structure in the adsorbed protein film the biological response will be different. The z-LAB system can be useful for quantification of hydrophobic interaction between an adsorbed protein film and the surfaces. Impedance measurement is independent of molecular mass but sensitive to structural and chemical properties of a molecular film. The z-LAB system can provide important complementary information to mass-sensitive techniques.
