Bengt Belfrage, Chairman
Bengt is today active as a consultant and is represented at four boards, three of which are Life Science-companies. Bengt was between 1998 and 2002 active as senior manager and board member within i e Procordia, Pharmacia, Lithells AB and Picker International (London). Bengt was earlier active as executive VP within Pharmacia Biotech, as CEO of NovaMedical and as Investment Manager for Bure Equity. Today Belfrage is also active as board member of Nordea Invest Funds and act as chairman of Nordea’s committee for corporate governance.

Fredrik Höök, non-executive director and co-founder
Höök is today professor of biological physics at Chalmers University of Technology. He is heading the group that developed the original idea behind the TELI technology. Höök was also a co-founder of the technology that are the basis for the biosensor instrument commercialized by Q-Sense (part of Biolin Scientific). Höök does today head a research group of about 20 researchers.

Ingvar Wiberger, non-executive director
Wiberger, has been involved in several companies with connections to the biotechnology and Life Science arena. He was involved in starting up the company Bioinvent and also involved in Biogaia for 10 years. As CEO of Ultuna University Holding Wiberger was active in converting many interesting technologies into viable companies. Wiberger was head of R&D at Pharmacia Biotech and involved in the formation of Amersham Pharmacia Biotech where he headed up the business unit Separation that was the most profitable unit in the company. He was also on a consultant basis the CSO and business development responsible for the market leading biosensor company Biacore for a period.
Eva-Carin Tengberg, non-executive director
Eva-Carin Tengberg has spent most of her working life within the life science industry. She was on the management team of Nobel Pharma (today Nobel Biocare) and during her 10 years with the company she presided over the German and Canadian subsidiaries and managed the business area of extra oral applications. As CEO of Q-Sense she took the company from a high tech university spin-out to a successful commercial company with global leadership in it´s field. Q-Sense, today part of Biolin Scientific, is active with similar products and in similar markets as Layerlab. Eva-Carin is currently Head of Biomedicine at Business Region Göteborg, a local government agency, and Communications Director at GöteborgBIO. She is also active as member of different boards, such as Chalmers Innovation, Södra Skogsägarna, Södra Cell, Tillväxtverket and Venture Cup. She was also earlier Chairman of the board of Layerlab for a period.

Torbjörn Pettersson, CEO
Pettersson is since three years active as CEO of Layerlab. Pettersson has earlier experience from other start-ups within biotech tools and medtech. Prior to that Pettersson was with the Pharmacia group of companies for more than 20 years where he was actively involved in establishing the company’s dominant position in industrial purification of bio-pharmaceuticals. First from his expert role as head of the profit centre for knowledge based products, then as VP of marketing for the business unit Industrial separations and finally deputy divisional president. From a position as business development Pettersson was then actively involved in prepareing the company for its entry into the proteomics market then as area marketing director to ensure the kompani to gain the leading global position within proteomics.
